GoodCompany began in 1999 and was the brainchild of Kate Kennedy, who had a desire to link like-minded young professional to skilled volunteering opportunities with social purpose agencies.

It quickly grew to 7,000 volunteers in four states of Australia.

 

It was led initially by dedicated volunteers and later, several tireless paid staff in Sydney and Melbourne.

 

In 2000, GoodCompany merged into the Karma Currency family.
