This week, we want to shine a spotlight on All Things Equal.
All Things Equal (ATE) is a non-profit social enterprise providing purposeful award-wage employment, training, and work-readiness for people with disability in hospitality settings. They exist to bridge the gap between people with disability and the wider community by proving to society that people with disability are ready, willing and absolutely capable of working. The unemployment rate for people with disability hasn’t changed in 28 years, and All Things Equal is committed to being part of the solution to change this.
The organisation acts as a steppingstone towards more mainstream employment, providing employees with the skills, confidence, and independence to gain further employment in the open market. ATE runs 2 café’s, a cooking school, a footy club canteen and has just launched a delicious catering offering for all members of the community.
To date, ATE has employed 25 young adults with disability, and for many, this is their first paid job.
We encourage you to visit the All Things Equal cafe for delicious meals and coffee and use their services for any catering opportunities that may come up in your businesses or home life!
