Something so magical yet simple happened during the grocery run with my son.


I was stressed about the rising living costs upon glancing at the price of broccoli, but thankfully we don't eat lettuce.

Then the magic happened - my 4 year old greeted the cashier with a "Hawoo!" that followed with their exchange of some jokes and laughs. I immediately joined in as my mood was uplifted.


This was a reminder that children live in the moment - they just

want to laugh, have fun and be loved. It's no different for us adults.


We can't control inflation, wars and sickness but we can Choose to laugh to help us snap out of it, even if it's just for a moment.


It's World Wellbeing Week so let's take care of ourselves starting with a simple

Laughter has been our primal way of coping with stress for as long as our human species have existed. Babies laugh, kids laugh and we should laugh more.

1. Tune into your favourite sitcom or comedian that willl turn that frown upside down

(we had a laugh watching one of Australia's funniest comedians)

2. Think about a funny incident and just laugh about it like it just happened yesterday.

3. Have funny and good company nearby - share some jokes and good times.

4. Make a funny face in front of the mirror. You'll look silly, but that's sure going

to make you laugh. A lot.
