It's not about doing big things. It's about doing small things consistently.
Thank you for choosing to start your day with a Chooseday mindset!
What motivates you? What are your dreams and aspirations? Ask those around you and everyone has different goals that range from say, wanting a cleaner kitchen, to losing weight, rising up the career ladder, launching a business or buying their first home. Whatever goals we have, it's not about going hard and fast only to end up hitting a wall and giving up - we've all heard stories of how someone pushed themselves too hard at the gym, got too tired or injured and threw in the towel. To achieve success, consistency is key. This means doing small things daily or often that work towards meeting our goals. Even a study from University of Nebraska found that employees were more successful and had better mental wellbeing when they were more consistent in tasks. It's easy to feel inadequate when we see people on social media or the news doing incredible things, but they too started small and the results that we see are likely from their dedication and consistency. Likewise, when we are consistent in our pursuit to be more empathetic and giving to others, we will see that we are indeed creating a better and kinder world for our communities.
