If you were stuck in traffic last Friday and the weekend, it was likely due to the mad rush for Black Friday sales. We're talking about human and motor traffic.
It was estimated that people spent $6.2 billion on this annual sale, according to research by the Australian Retailers Association and Roy Morgan.
Also taking into consideration for post Black Friday, the environmental factors of wasted packaging, unwanted gifts, short life-span of products that all go to waste.
If only we could re-imagine a day where we rushed to give instead - to give our time and our skills to help better the world. Today's that day with Giving Tuesday, a movement that looks to counter Black Friday with a mission to create a more generous world with shared humanity and kindness.
