Chooseday 24th February, 💚 Choose to Clean Up Australia

Good Morning,

The Earth says Happy ChooseDay!

This week, we’re inviting you to choose care, choose community, and choose action— by joining Clean Up Australia Day on Sunday 1 March.

Gather along the Yarra River for a feel-good morning that’s about doing something positive together — for our environment, our community, and the places we love.

🌿 According to Clean Up Australia, here’s what’s actually going on in our beautiful backyard…

✨ Over 800,000 volunteers around Australia joined Clean Up Australia Day in 2025 — that’s hundreds of thousands of humans rolling up their sleeves together to care for country.

✨ In total, more than 23 million amazing Aussies have participated in Clean Up events over the years — tens of millions of hands helping pull litter out of our parks, beaches, waterways and wild spaces.

✨ Sadly ,plastics make up the vast majority of litter still found in the environment — around 80% of all rubbish counted— and cigarette butts alone are the single most common item picked up.

So while the challenge is huge — our collective effort is powerful. 🌏💪

Clean Up Australia inspires and mobilises communities to improve and conserve our environment, eliminate litter, and end waste.

More than 21 million Aussies have participated in Clean Up Australia activities and events over the past three decades.

Over that time Clean Up Australia has evolved to provide practical solutions to help all Australians live more sustainably every day of the year and emerged as one of the country’s most recognised, credible, and trusted environmental charities.

Today their focus is as much on preventing rubbish entering our environment as it is removing what has already accumulated.

This Chooseday, why not choose to take part in this incredible event to better our planet?
