GoodCompany, Australia's and Aotearoaโ€™s leading platform for workplace giving, volunteering, fundraising and charity gift cards, is thrilled to announce the launch of the 2024 GoodCompany Awards.


Applications open today, 12 September, and will close on 17 October.

Weโ€™re calling all GOOD companies to enter.

โญ Highlights from Last Year


Last yearโ€™s awards saw Origin Energy take the top spot, followed by Mirvac, Accenture, Teachers Mutual Bank, and Optus.


These organisations excelled in providing the purposeful perks that workers want, including unlimited paid volunteer leave and open choice payroll giving with uncapped matched donations. The best performing organisations also had community sponsorships and took action on important issues with Reconciliation Action Plans, diversity programs, renewable energy targets, and public commitments to the UNโ€™s Sustainable Development Goals.

๐Ÿ“Š Key Insights from 2023 Rankings

1.ย ย ย ย ย ย  Payroll Giving Trends:ย An uplifting trend was observed in companies supporting Payroll Giving, with numbers increasing from 23 in 2022 to 29 in 2023. Conversely, companies not offering this initiative dipped from 17 in 2022 to 13 in 2023, showcasing a significant 26% increase in Payroll Giving in just a year.

2.ย ย ย ย ย ย  Charity Choice Preferences:ย Data revealed a 7.58% increase in companies offering an "OPEN CHOICE" for charity support, taking the number from 50% in 2022 to 57.58% in 2023. In contrast, companies providing a "CLOSED CHOICE" experienced a decrease of 7.58%, moving from 50% in 2022 to 42.42% in 2023. This shift suggests companies are more inclined to provide their employees with the autonomy to select their charity of preference.

3.ย ย ย ย ย ย  Reconciliation Action Plans:ย The commitment to reconciliation witnessed a commendable increase, with the number of companies adopting or maintaining a Reconciliation Action Plan rising to 31 in 2023, marking a 10.71% increase from 28 in 2022.
