Good Morning,
Imagine a world where people are celebrated for their contribution, rather than their appearance. Where we see honesty and integrity in other humans, instead of size or shape.
Where inclusivity rules and kindness prevails. 🧡
They say comparison is the thief of joy—and when it comes to body image, that couldn’t be more true.
From a young age, we are bombarded with messages that tell us how we should look, what we should weigh, and who we should be. It’s no wonder that confidence gets replaced with comparison, and self-love turns into self-criticism.
But what if we flipped the script?
What if we taught kids to see their bodies not as a project to be fixed, but as a powerful vessel that lets them laugh, hug, and live?
That’s exactly what The Embrace Collective is doing.

The Embrace Collective is a health promotion charity with a vision for a world where young people are free from feelings of pressure, judgement and shame about their bodies
.Through Embrace Kids, the focus is on building better body image from the beginning, as this has the power to minimise lifetime risk of issues like eating disorders, depression and anxiety – and help young people achieve optimal health and wellbeing. 🧠
Did you know:
77% of young Australians report body image distress (Milton et al, 2021)
Rates of eating disorders have doubled since 2019 —particularly in 5-12 year olds (Milton et al, 2021)
33% of adolescent girls meet diagnostic criteria for eating disorders (Mitchison et al., 2020)
Through their suite of age-appropriate programs, The Embrace Collective gets in early to teach the message of body appreciation to young people and support the adults around them to create shame-free settings with a culture of kindness in all the places where young people live, learn and play.
Led by 2023 Australian of the Year Taryn Brumfitt and international body image expert Dr Zali Yager, along with a global team of academics, clinicians and lived experience advisors, their goal is to reach one million Australian children annually with the Embrace message and evidence-based resources to stop this body image crisis.

You are invited to take meaningful action; to support The Embrace Collective in their mission to create a world free from shame around body image, creating lasting, positive cultural change, ensuring that future generations grow up in a more inclusive world.
By reaching kids early, and supporting the adults around them—parents, teachers, coaches—we can rewrite the story. One where kids are confident in their skin, and our communities are filled with compassion, not comparison.
✨ Choose to support The Embrace Collective today.
Together, let’s make kindness the most admired trait in the room.
Appreciating you... yes you,
