The AMP Foundation Big Zipper

Would you dare to zip line between two Sydney skyscrapers to help raise $1 million for charity? Registrations are open for 200 lucky people to participate in this Australian first; the AMP Foundation Big Zipper.

The event, scheduled for Friday 20 and Saturday 21 October, will celebrate 25 years of the AMP Foundation supporting the community. GoodCompany are thrilled to have created a bespoke fundraising site for participants and their friends, colleagues and family to fundraise, network and collaborate to achieve this ambitious target.

“We’re aiming to raise $1 million from this once-in-a-lifetime event, to celebrate AMP Foundation’s 25th anniversary. AMP Foundation is covering all event costs to ensure every dollar raised goes directly to charity,” said Helen Liondos, AMP Foundation Manager. “It’s a high fundraising target, but one we think reflects the thrilling and unique opportunity this is.”

For the thrill of zip lining between two AMP buildings in iconic Circular Quay, participants each have to fundraise a minimum of $5000 for one of 15 outstanding Australian charities, including: The Brotherhood of St Laurence; Cancer Council NSW; Clontarf Foundation; CREATE Foundation; Ganbina, Social Ventures Australia; The Funding Network Australia; First Australians Capital; Global Sisters; STREAT; The Conversation; The Stroke Association of Victoria; Vanguard Laundry Services; and Wesley Mission.

The AMP Foundation Big Zipper has a vertical drop of 75 metres and will span 125 metres between the two skyscrapers at a 45-degree angle. Operated by Urban Descent, a leading adventure fundraising company with experience operating similar events, the Big Zipper offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to soar across the Sydney skyline.

To raise your adrenalin, along with precious funds for charity, visit the AMP site and sign up. Places are filling fast.
